first_imgPSG lost their last league game away to Rennes. (PHOTO/Courtesy)PSG will be looking to bounce back from last weekend’s disappointing loss to Rennes when they host Toulouse on Sunday night.Despite taking the lead through Edinson Cavani, Tomas Tuchel’s side went on to lose the game 1-2 and currently 8th on the 20 team log. With the transfer window still on, they are still bothered by the saga revolving around superstar Neymar Jr and it all is not doing them any favours.Aside from Neymar who clearly will not play on Saturday, the Parisians will also be without the injured trio of Presnel Kimpembe, Ander Herrera and Timo Kehrer. However, with the squad that they have assembled throughout the past years, PSG should have enough in their ranks to take care of a Toulouse side that has lost all of their last four fixtures against the defending champions.Toulouse are currently unbeaten since the start of the season having won one and drawn the other of their first two games. After defeating Dijon 1-0 on opening day, Alain Casanova’s side drew 1-1 away to Brest and currently sit a spot ahead of PSG.For the trip to Paris, Toulouse are expected to be without Gen Shoji, Agustin Rogel and Jean Coretntin. With no fixtures on Friday, like it is usually the case, Ligue One will start with four games on Saturday evening.Amiens host Nantes, Dijon welcomes Bordeaux, Metz are away to Angers while Brest play host to Reims. This weekend’s other tasty fixture will be Nimes’s visit to struggling Monaco on Sunday afternoon. After two games, Monaco sit bottom of the log with no points, having lost twice already. The opening day defeat to Lyon was followed up with a humiliating 3-0 loss at the hands of Metz.A third loss on the trot would spell disaster at the Principality club and head coach Leandro Jardim will very much want to avoid such a scenario. However, with minds very much set on trying to register victory, Monaco have issues of their own going into the game.In both of their two defeats, they have had a player sent off. Cesc Fabregas saw red against Lyon and then Ruben Aguilar repeated the trick last weekend. The sick bay has also been busy at the club and going into the third game of the season, Daniel Subasic, Stephen Jovetic, Willem Geubbels and Pietro Pellegri are all expected to be out with respective injuries.Just like Monaco, Nimes are also yet to pick up a point this season, losing their two games too.A 3-0 loss away to PSG on opening day was followed up by a 2-1 loss against Nice last week, putting Nimes only a spot above Monaco in the standings. With only Clement Depres out, Nimes will be fancying their chances against a side that they did not lose to last season as they collected four points off them (Monaco).French Ligue One weekend’s fixturesSaturday, 24-08-2019-Amiens SC vs Nantes @9pm-Dijon vs Bordeaux @9pm-Angers SC vs Metz @9pm-Brest vs Reims @9pmSunday, 25-08-2019-Monaco vs Nimes @4pm-Strasbourg vs Rennes @6pm-PSG vs Toulouse @10pmComments Tags: French Ligue Onetoplast_img read more
